January 1, 2009 Dear Applicant: Thank you for your interest in the Horace Ruben Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship bears the name of one of the Past Masters of William Charles Thomas Lodge #112 whom the membership felt embodied the tenets of our organization. During its existence the scholarship has provided assistance to deserving young people to offset the high cost of their undergraduate educations. Our application process is competitive and selective, but not overwhelming. It is our goal to provide you ample opportunity to present your accomplishments and abilities as comprehensively as possible.
